No doubt about it, Microsoft's Xbox live Arcade has been a smash hit: not only for Microsoft, but for gamers.  Who here hasn't spent hundreds of hours playing Frogger, while reminding yourself that you used to be so good when it was on the Atari.  How many of us have played Texas Hold 'em until the wee hours while dreaming about quiting your day job and joining the Poker circuit?  Don't get me started on Galaga and Uno either.  Well, after doing a bit of research it looks like there may be a few other games coming down the pike.  We have no release dates yet, but we do have titles.

Band of Bugs:  Strategy Game
Eets:  Chowdown:  Port of the PC game
Luxor 2:  Action Puzzler
Paperboy:  The classic from Midway
Root Beer Tapper:  Keep your patrons happy

Paperboy, FTW!!!1

If all of you reading this could port a classic game or build a new one for Xbox Live Arcade, what would it be?

Personally, I'd go for some Sonic the Hedgehog (the classic Sega stuff).  I believe that was announced at E3, but haven't seen anything about it.

I would like to see this happen....somehow =)

And as for that list of XBL Arcade titles announced, um...that's a nice list, I guess.

I've definitely played my share of the Uno and Geometry Wars. I got Doom, Street Fighter 2, and the wonderfuly weird Cloning Clyde as well. I think the next game I'm most looking forward to is Double Dragon. That was one of the first games that I obsessed over as a kid, and at the roller skating rink when all the other kids were, well, skating, I was at the DD machine!
As I stated about Double Dragon is a game I'm excited about seeing ported. Other classic arcade games I'd like to see are Killer Instinct, maybe Mortal Kombat 2, P.O.W., Final Fight from Capcom. Those are just off the top of my head.
I played Frogger for a bit, but it didn't hold me.

However,  I've been addicted to Pac-Man, Defender, Galaga, Marble Blast, and Doom since they came out.  I've also really enjoyed Cloning Clyde, Assualt Heroes, and Totem Ball every now and again.  Indeed Xbox Live Arcade is great.

The current line-up looks okay with Paperboy really standing out.  I know Sonic is coming somewhere down the pipe, but I've already been playing that on my Wii virtual console.  Paperboy will probably grace the virtual console too.

What I really want to know is where all all the timeless Atari and Arcade titles?  I'm talking about Yar's Revenge and Cubit here!  That, and could you imagine a new Tron arcade game?  That is the future of Xbox Live Arcade!
Sonic is already available on the Wii Virtual Console.  I suspect Paperboy will probably end up there too.

I want to see more classic Atari Titles.  I'm talking about Yar's Revenge and Cubit!  I wouldn't mind a few updated Commodore 64 games either like Dragon's Lair and Zaxxon.

What I think would totally own is a new Tron game designed from the ground up for Xbox live Arcade.  That would be totally sweet.  End of line.
