Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006 was popular photo-editing software for users of Windows XP and below. The product has been discontinued, but fans can still download it for free from Microsoft Downloads. Digital Image Starter Edition provides easy-to-use tools that help you create, organize, and enhance your digital photos. The software contains 3 modules: the Library, where photos are organized, the Editor, where editing and retouching are done, and Photo Story, where you can create movies based on your photos. Despite it's age, Digital Image Starter edition is still a great program for beginners to the world of photo editing, and you can't beat the price!

the site says its only the first 60 days thats free for the whole thing. after that its reverts to just a trial version? is that true? did that happen to you?

39cents: Try it out and let us know. If it reverts to a trial after that I'll get you a copy for your trouble. Smiley
I have used the trial version and love love this software but everytime I try to register it online, it says it is no longer available. After the 60 day free trial, you cannot do much of anything with the software, and since I cannot purchase it... it is very disappointing Sad Does anyone know of any way to register the software so I can get the full version? Thanks
I had this software, it has been working just fine, all of a sudden it must've reverted to the free edition and I can't do much with it.  Can you help me to get the full edition please?  If I could still buy it, I would.  Thank you, Lisa
