If you haven’t heard already, Channels 8, 10 and Coding4Fun will be consolidated into Channel 9. For more info about the change, check out this blog post: http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/C9Team/The-Future-of-Channel-9/ So what does that mean? Well, sometime in the fall, the content from Channels 8, 10 and Coding4Fun will be migrated over to Channel 9. That content includes my blog. Bye Bye Popfly

Falls ihr noch nicht gehört habt, wird Popfly am 24. August eingestellt und alle Sites, Referenzen und Ressourcen werden abgeschaltet. Das bedeutet, dass alle Spiele und Mashups, die ihr gemacht habt, wird gelöscht. Ich finde das sehr traurig und werde Popfly vermissen. Sad

Microsoft wird sich mit einer eigenen Konferenz am Systems-Nachfolger "discuss & discover" beteiligen. Auf der am 20. bis 22. Oktober in München stattfindenden Veranstaltung wird Microsoft dabei erstmals Produkte wie Windows 7 und Microsoft Office 2010 der breiten Öffentlichkeit in Deutschland präsentieren. Im Ausstellungsbereich wird Microsoft zudem gemeinsam mit 20 Partnern neue Server-Produkte sowie Lösungen zu Security, Green-IT, Cloud Computing und der neuen Welt des Arbeitens vorstellen.

The History of Microsoft auf Channel 9

Es gibt eine sehr interessante Video-Serie auf Channel 9, dass die Geschichte von dem Software-Gigant Microsoft zeigt. Die Serie heißt The History of Microsoft und sie benutzen selten gezeigtes Filmmaterial und nie vorher gesehene Fotos, um die Microsoft-Gesichte jährlich zu detaillieren. Sie beginnen mit dem Jahr 1975, als The History of Microsoft angefangen hat, wenn das ALTAIR 8800 auf der Titelseite von Popular Electronics erscheinen hat und hat zwei junge Männer – Bill Gates und Paul Allen – inspiriert, um BASIC-Sprache-Software dafür zu entwickeln. Jede Woche gibt es eine neue Episode.
