Ben Waggoner

Ben Waggoner is relatively new to Microsoft, but is an old hand in the digital media world. At Microsoft, he’s a Technology Evangelist on the codec team, working with content and tool companies making sure that great content can be easily published in VC-1 and WMV. Previously, he was principal of Interframe Media, a digital media consultancy, and Director of Consulting Services for Media 100 and Terran Interactive. He’s also the author of CMP Books’ “Compression for Great Digital Video.” Ben lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife and three children, and wishes he had time to watch more HD after spending his days making it.
